In addition to creating their own basket, they will also learn about the history of basket weaving, discovering how this ancient craft has been used throughout cultures and how it has impacted society over time. From its role in daily life to its place in art and tradition, kids will gain a deeper appreciation for this timeless craft while creating their own unique baskets to take home.
This is a drop-off program, but parents are welcome to hang around the farm park during the class. Please be sure to dress for the weather and bring water.
