Montgomery Parks set to fill Brookside Gardens with music during Summer Twilight Concert series

WHEATON, Md. – Join Montgomery Parks  and the Friends of Brookside Gardens on Tuesday evenings in June for the free Summer Twilight Concert series. The beauty of Brookside Gardens will set the stage for the musical performances by artists from a variety of genres.

Brookside Gardens Visitor Center Lawn 
Parking at Main Entrance at 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton and    
Conservatory entrance at 1500 Glenallan Ave.

Free summer concerts 

“We hope people will bring their friends and family to enjoy the lovely evenings of early summer,” said Stephanie Oberle, director of Brookside Gardens. “This is one of the rare times when picnicking is allowed at Brookside Gardens, so pack a picnic or purchase food from a food truck and enjoy the music.”

June 3-   Zydeco Hot Peppers, Louisiana Blues and Zydeco 
June 10- David Bach Consort, World Contemporary and Jazz 
June 17- Moose Jaw, Bluegrass 
June 24- Rene Ibanez and Cubano Grove, Latin and Cuban 

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets for seating. Hammocks, tables, and shade structures such as beach umbrellas and tents are not allowed. Alcohol and smoking are also prohibited. Complete details about attending the concerts are available online
